It is June 14th of the 2021, and once again Yankee fans find themselves frustrated with the operation of the team's front office. It had seem before a rare Friday off-day, the Yankees were getting hot after getting swept my the Detroit Tigers by taking two-of-three against the Minnesota Twins. Unfortunately, that little burst of much needed offensive power didn't last, because as baseball would have it, the Yankees went to Philadelphia and got swept in a two game series against their former manager in Joe Girardi and the Philies.

Yes, yes, I know what most fans are thinking. "How in the world did we let our former manager take advantage of our team like that?" Well, trust me, I  am right there with you because  Aaron Boone was hired as Yankees manager in December 2017, five weeks after Phillies manager Joe Girardi's 10-year run in New York, and their is nothing to really root for with this 2021 Yankees.

At this point, the Yankees are not built for a championship year. Aside from Aaron Judge, the potential of Giancarlo Stanton, Gerrit Cole, Gio Urshela, and mostly of what is a dependable back end of a bullpen; this is a team that can't come through in big spots. The way I see it, Joe Girardi should have never been fired and quite frankly, I wasn't the biggest supporter of signing Aaron Boone as the new manager.

It is clear and simple, by now everyone knows Boone was hired to be the analytical type manager, but come on it had to be known that type of management would not carry the Yankee to the World Series for number 28. Analytics are for computer systems, baseball has to do with human being and how they are playing on a given day.
