  Opening Day is finally here and the 2021 Yankee baseball season will get started with an American League East clash.

  The two teams will kick things off at 1:05 P.M. and it should be an interesting duel out on the mound in the Bronx. It will be a lefty vs. right square off in the New York Yankees opener. Yankee fans will finally get a chance at officially seeing their newly acquired ace they now have in RHPGerrit Cole. Cole now draws his second Opening Day outing. He was 7-3 with a 2.84 ERA in a total of 12 starts last season. He also did pitch to an ERA of 2.95 in three playoff appearances. Yankee fans should be glad to know that Cole is coming off a year in which no pitcher was capable of handling a full workload. With that said, Cole is something of a real work horse, as he is most likely among the very few starters that could realistically think about pitching to a total of 200 innings in 2021.

  Cole will lead the Yanks as they host the Toronto Blue Jays and LHP Hyun Jin Ryu. Ryu is the undisputed ace of the Jays' and he is coming off a 2.69 ERA season.

  As the two aces square off in the Bronx this afternoon, baseball is back and the Yankees are going for another shot at a championship run. LET'S PLAY BALL!!!!!!
