It's official, Aaron Boone has drawn up the blueprints for the New York Yankees' 2021 starting rotation. The team will enter the baseball season with these five manning the starting pitchers' role:

On Opening Day, April 1st, Aaron Boone will tab Gerrit Cole with the first game of the 2021 baseball season. The Yankee ace will kick things off at Yankee Stadium, starting at 1:05 P.M against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Game two of the new season will feature the official start of one of the newest members of the Yankee pitching staff. On April 3rd, manager Aaron Boone will hand the baseball to another newly acquired pitcher. RHP Corey Kluber will square off against the Jays in game 2. On the Saturday afternoon, Kluber will officially solidify himself as a Yankee starter and he will get his shot to prove himself.  After what has been quite some time, Kluber will take the mound for the first time since his injury and it will be in a 162 -game season setting. The 3x All-Star and 2x- Cy Young will do what has to be done, in order to prove he is the healthy pitcher that the Yankees' banked on when they acquired him.

Following the Saturday start by Kluber, on April 4th, the Yanks will turn the baseball over to Domingo German for him to close the three game set against the Jays. The first pitch of the Sunday matinee will be thrown at 1:05 P.M.

When the Yanks finish their match-up against the Jays, on Monday, April 5th, they start a three game set against the Orioles. In terms of who will be pitching at the start of those games, here is how the schedule is looking so far:

Mon. 4/5 vs. Baltimore, 6:35pm: Jordan Montgomery

Tue. 4/6 vs. Baltimore, 6:35pm: Gerrit Cole (Ace Cole gets both the Opening Day start and the one five days later to keep him on normal rest.)

Wed 4/7 vs. Baltimore, 6:35pm: Jameson Taillon

All things considered, with the exception of the ace that the Yankees have in Cole, he will most likely be the lone pitcher on the staff that will likely exceed 200 innings. With that in mind, he’s going to need to get as much work as they can give him. The Yanks will also need to keep tabs on the new faces they acquired to feature in the starting rotation.
